Where does our data go?
Search happens with us: the assistant's search index and turning your question into a search vector (bge-m3) run on our own infrastructure in Falkenstein (Germany).
Cloudflare (US) sits at the edge of the network, for DNS, CDN, DDoS and TLS.
All AI features (the assistant, the mail helper, summarising, sheets and presentations) have their text written by Mistral AI, a French company; according to Mistral, that data is stored in the EU by default.
For the assistant, Mistral receives your question, up to five earlier turns, the passages found with their source address and whatever the assistant looks up for you, such as emails, tickets and invoices; for the mail helper, the sender, subject and body of the email.
Before sending, we replace email addresses, phone numbers, IBANs, IP addresses, BSNs (Dutch citizen service numbers) and web addresses in the text that start with http or https with placeholders.
If Mistral is unreachable, the AI does not work. There is no fallback to another provider.
